PRIMITIVE RIDERS

First of all, we are monkeys.

As we've already told you, we are from the world and for the world. Surfers and climbers. Depending on who you ask, they might prefer to surf like Andy Irons or climb like Chris Sharma, but as you can see in the photo, we are all good people at the end of the day.

We make clothes for ourselves, to feel represented wherever the wind takes us. We are proud that you like it and want to take it with you on your travels. Peace.

Our legacy

All the designs we wear on our backs shout a story or idea. No empty phrases like those that are in fashion now... (the only "moda" (trend) we know of is a music group). Do you want to know what those stories or ideas sound like? Read more below...

TO' SEA ESO

Great phrase, difficult to describe but easy to interpret. It would be easy to describe it as "nothing happens", but I'm sorry to tell you that it is not like that. "To' sea eso" goes further, it means facing a problem or a situation with positivity, with philosophy and a firm mentality to understand that everything has a solution in life. There is no problem that lasts forever, when you are in that difficult moment, think about the expression "to' sea eso", turn the situation around and put it in your favor, enjoy the moment and the experience and tomorrow will be much better.

This design is inspired by a mix of our great friend Toni, the peace of Mikey February in "Sonic Souvenirs" and finally, a painting created by stories and challenges in our lives that we will be totally willing to share if the opportunity arises.
You may be up to your neck in problems: flat tire, broken board, no waves... even a fire coming out of the car that looks bad. But our friend here stops and thinks: "Whatever (to' sea eso)" Only then he is able to enjoy the incredible sunset that lies ahead.

SYMBOLS

"Isn't it intriguing, that thought cannot exist without language, and since language is a function of the brain, we would have to say that language (the ability to experience the world through symbols) is in some sense a physical property of the human being, which shows that the old mind-body dualism is nonsense, doesn't it? Goodbye, Descartes. Mind and body are one." - Herman Hesse

Throughout history, the only thing that makes us aware of the culture that precedes us is all the symbolism we have found in caves, temples, pyramids... from other generations long before ours. No primate today would be able to appreciate the beauty of this world if it were not for every organism that came before it. Worthy of including in our consciousness.

For our part, we have made this hieroglyph where we have brought together all these cultures and knowledge, and we have looked for a common point, surfing. I don't know if the aliens or the Mayans surfed, but it would be cool.
We have included many references to our favorite movie, real cave paintings, and even dinosaurs! The way to unite the symbols with BTM is the Andalusian Tartessian star and our Andalusian language... VUERTA AR MONO

MOTION

Movement, one of the most basic principles of nature, a symbol of freedom and expression. Movement allows beings and entities to shape their nature. Movement allows stillness.

This design aims to reflect movement in a free, conscious, expressive and calm way.

Back to monkey is a way of trying to capture movement as something that brings us into harmony with nature. Searching for new ways to express ourselves and be free. We try to incite curiosity to search for different forms of movement.
Back to monkey is the movement of nature

BACK TO MONKEY

This is us on this beautiful journey we are taking to get back to the monkey. Some are closer than others. But we promise we are enjoying the journey.

We hope you like this project as much as we do.
